School of Architecture, Construction and Design

A number of school’s facilities ensure the efficiency of the educational process: specialized design rooms and workshops, laboratory and computer rooms, the rooms of computer design and architectural-building physics, lecture multi-media rooms.

R&D activity of school’s staff and students is possible owing to diverse laboratories and centers such as:

• the center for research of habitability of urbanized territories and cities
• the center of certification, research and quality assessment of building products
• the laboratories of «Testing of building materials and structures», «Heating, ventilation and air conditioning», «Improving construction processes and quality control» and other
• for more than 10 years the Energy efficiency center has been carrying out its activity at the school

School’s students and staff take part in international and Russian national exhibitions, master classes, competitions where they win first places.

Every year the school hosts International Baikal Winter University of Urban Planning Design where young professionals fr om Russia, Germany, Italy, China, Mongolia, France, Switzerland and other countries take part.

Together with the Higher School of Architecture and Design of Bordeaux (France), a summer restoration school is held wh ere Russian and foreign students study.

Furthermore, the school organizes the International virtual forum «Artistic and design culture in the era of new information technologies».
