INRTU Students are the Winners of the International Essay Contest in Foreign Languages - The University of the Future - What Should It Be?

INRTU students became winners of the II All-Russian international-participants essays contest in foreign languages.

The contest was launched in October on the initiative of teachers of Kazan State Energy University. The students were offered to write an essay on the topic "The University of the Future - What Should It Be?".

Students from 75 universities across Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sevastopol, Murmansk, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, etc.), as well as students from Belarus, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan took part in the contest. Overall, the organizing committee received 985 creative works in English, French and German. The submitted essays were evaluated on the originality, author's viewpoint, literacy, structure compliance, and narration consistency criteria.

The 3rd year student of INRTU School of Architecture, Construction and Design Anastasia Kannunikova was awarded the 1st degree diploma for her contest work. Anastasia is actively engaged in the university creative life and has been developing her English language skills under the guidance of Ekaterina Kholdeeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages №1.

"The contest topic was quite dear to me, and I was happy to share my ideas about the university of the future, as well as how the education sphere would come to improve. I recommend everyone to take part in such language competitions", - shared her opinion Anastasia Kannunikova.

Gleb Sidorov, a 1st year student of the School of Information Technologies and Data Science, was awarded the 3rd degree diploma. The work was supervised by Natalia Sivtseva, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages №2. Natalia Volchkova, the author of an essay in German, also received the 3rd degree diploma. The work was supervised by Alina Kutimskaya, senior lecturer of the Baikal School of BRICS.
