INRTU conducts research in 24 of the 69 fields of expertise contained in State Classifier of Scientific and Technical Information, and covers 6 of the 9 priority areas of the development of science, technics and technology in the Russian Federation.

INRTU Technopark is home to research labs, training, production, and corporate research centers, a business-incubator and a spacious conference hall.

Our university interacts with international partners from 24 countries in scientific and educational fields. 

INRTU conducts active academic cooperation and joint cooperation in double diploma programs with partners from Asia and Europe.

INRTU became a part of 8 technological platforms created in the Russian Federation.

In fall 2022, INRTU was ranked the 1201-1500 position among the best universities in the world and now is on the 22nd place among the Russian universities. Please, follow the link

1799 universities from 104 countries, including 76 Russian universities, were selected from more than 2,5 thousand applications all over the world and included into the largest and most diverse Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023.


In 2021, INRTU was ranked 400+ out of 1,115 universities in the world. Russia was represented by 75 universities. INRTU entered the top 10 Russian universities.

INRTU entered the TOP-100 with its results on SDG 01, SDG 07. Among Russian universities INRTU was ranked 5th.

INRTU first entered the GreenMetric global ranking of sustainable development and high-quality university environment in 2017, taking the 558th place in the world ranking.

In 2018, our university moved up to the 543rd position in the GreenMetric global ranking.

In 2020, INRTU took the 389th place among 912 universities.

In 2021, INRTU took the 225th place among 956 universities in the world, significantly improved its position, moved up by 164 points in the rating-list comparing to 2020.
