Scholarship for Russian Language Preparatory Course

The Russian Language Preparatory Course at INRTU is designed for international students who wish to pursue a degree in Russia but need to improve their Russian language skills before beginning their bachelor's, specialist, master’s, or PhD studies.

The program helps students develop the language proficiency and academic skills required to study successfully at a Russian university and adapt to their new educational and cultural environment.

To support talented international applicants with strong academic records, INRTU offers a competitive scholarship program that provides a substantial tuition discount for the Russian Language Preparatory Course.

Tuition Discount: 50%

The preparatory course is offered in two formats. With the 50% scholarship, you will pay:

  • 15-month program — total cost: 82,500 RUB
    Year 1: 41,250 RUB / Year 2: 41,250 RUB
  • 2-year program — total cost: 90,000 RUB
    Year 1: 40,000 RUB / Year 2: 50,000 RUB

Three scholarships are available each year for applicants from each country.

Who Can Apply?

You are eligible to apply if:

  • You are between 18 and 25 years old;
  • You hold an education certificate that qualifies you for admission to a degree program in Russia after completing the preparatory course;
  • Your GPA meets the minimum threshold established for your country (see the file below).

How are winners selected?

Step 1. Submit your application form.

When filling in the application form please attach your international passport and education documents here.

Step 2. Meet the document requirements:

  • Your education document (certificate, diploma, transcript) is duly legalized according to the official procedure in your country. Guide to legalization procedures.
  • You provide a video confirmation clearly showing your education documents with all legalization stamp. Important: Upon arrival, you must bring the original documents with stamps.
  • Your education document is verified by our expert on foreign education recognition.

Step 3. Ranking by GPA.

We rank all eligible applicants by their GPA (average grade).
The competition is held separately for each country.

Step 4. Winners announcement.

After the admission deadline, we nominate the top 3 applicants with the highest GPA from each country.
No additional tests or interviews — only your academic record matters.
