The program includes two applied areas of urban planning:
Urban design - design of squares, streets, rural settlements and urban areas;
Urban planning - the formation of master plans, urban zoning, planning of the territory.
The theoretical and research modules study:
The history of urban planning - the study of the main stages of the development of settlement in general and separately in the Siberian region;
The theory of urban planning - the study of the principles of organizing towns, rural settlements and their systems;
Urban planning analysis - applied research of urban planning factors of the organization and development of the territory.
Information support of urban planning documentation is based on the study of the discipline Territorial Information Systems - GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
Additional modules include the study of theoretical and practical tasks of organizing urbanized territories, for example: the basics of urban planning ecology, landscape architecture, landscape planning, typology of buildings, urban planning statistics, etc.
