About the program

In the process of learning students will gain knowledge in such disciplines and modules as the humanities, economics, mathematics, natural sciences to the extent necessary for professional development in engineering and technology for well construction, development, production, collection and preparation of oil and gas, operation and optimization of equipment selection.
In recent years, major oil fields, such as Verkhnechonskoye, Yaraktinskoye, Duliminskoye, Yurubcheno-Tokhomskoye, Sobinskoye, Talakanskoye, Srednebotuobinskoye and others have been discovered, prepared and exploited in the Asian part of the country. In the near future we are planning their intensive and effective exploitation in the interests of our country's development as well as the fulfillment of our obligations under the international project "Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean". The solution of this task requires qualified specialists in the field of oil field exploitation, where our region is experiencing an acute deficit today.
Training takes place using modern technologies and simulators that simulate real production processes.

Learning outcomes

  • Designing the development of oil and gas fields;
  • studying reservoir properties and fluid saturating reservoirs;
  • conducting and interpreting data from hydrodynamic studies of wells;
  • designing the development of oil and gas fields;
  • studying reservoir properties and fluid saturating reservoirs;
  • well downhole repair and workover (limitation of water inflow, repair and insulation works, etc.);
  • transportation and field preparation of well products.

Career opportunities

The program opens opportunities to become professionally engaged as engineers, oil and gas production technologists, development geologists, oil and gas operators, underground well repair operators, driller operators and assistants, operators of booster and cluster pumping stations, operators of water and oil pretreatment facilities, foremen, managers, etc. in various oil and gas production organizations, well construction companies, service and engineering companies, consulting, engineering, research and design organizations in Russia and worldwide. The program also opens opportunities for further studying and getting a Master’s degree.
