About the program

The specialty "Economic and legal support of customs activities" is aimed at training highly qualified specialists who are able to successfully work in the field of customs affairs, possessing both universal and specialized competencies. Training in this program at the specialist level allows the graduate to be competitive in the labor market, providing him with stability and ample opportunities for professional growth and social mobility.
During the training, students study a wide range of disciplines covering both economic and legal aspects of customs activities. Among them are customs statistics, customs logistics, customs law, customs management, personnel management, as well as such practice-oriented subjects as customs payments and customs value in various customs procedures, currency transactions and currency control, customs operations and procedures, clearance of goods and vehicles. Some disciplines are offered to choose from, which allows students to form an individual educational trajectory depending on their interests and professional plans.

  • Ability to process goods and vehicles in accordance with customs declaration procedures and regulatory requirements;
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations governing customs operations at national and international levels;
  • Ability to assume leadership roles in customs administrations and international trade organizations, demonstrating sound judgment in operational and strategic decisions;
  • Expertise in identifying and preventing legal violations in export-import operations through proactive risk management strategies;
  • Proficiency in managing currency transactions and ensuring full compliance with FX regulatory requirement;
  • Expertise in managing cross-border supply chains and analyzing trade data to optimize customs clearance processes;
  • Knowledge of customs duties collection and customs value determination: ability to accurately calculate duties, taxes, and other payments related to cross-border movement of good;
  • Professional communication and stakeholder management in foreign trade: expertise in business correspondence, negotiations, and official documentation preparation for cross-border commercial operations;
  • Ability to promptly adjust to evolving legislation, global trade standards, and foreign economic conditions.
