About the program

The program is aimed at in-depth study of particular scientific, organizational and technical issues of management of objects of electric power systems. A feature of the master's program is the acquisition of new knowledge by students through individual research work under the guidance of highly qualified teachers and employees of energy enterprises and regular discussion of the scientific results obtained at the seminars of the Department of Electrical Stations, Networks and Systems.
For training and performing research work, the equipment of the laboratories of the Department of Electrical Stations, Networks and Systems "Operating modes of electric power systems", "Diagnostics of electrical equipment", "Operation of electrical equipment" with an 110 kV training substation is used.

Learning outcomes

  • Skills in the selection of power reserves in electric power systems, selection and use of distributed generation installations;
  • Knowledge about the development and functioning of the electricity market, about the development prospects and the theory of management of electric power systems;
  • Understanding the principles of automation of dispatch control in the electric power industry;
  • Knowledge of modern principles and methods of managing the development and operation of power systems in modern conditions.
