Yes! I have the talent!

Ahmad Garba Yakubu keeps trying to learn the Russian Poetry. He took part in the International Competition of Readers.

Finally, I have realized, that I have a unique talent in reading and memorizing Russian poems. Shall I start?  When I came to Russia, Russian poem was first and the hardest text to read I came through, but the most beautiful and meaningful to hear. I forced myself to learn more of it, because I loved it. And at last I came to be one of the representatives on behalf of my university in many international contests, and guess what? I have won!!! With the help of my University teacher Ms Nataliia Petrova I got the picture that the answer was really inside me! The talent! The uniqueness! The beauty of Russian poetry. I learnt a lot of Russian poetry by heart in short time with lots of repetitions and practice. Being the fact that Russian is not my native language, at first it was difficult and at last, I enjoyed it like “basking at Lake Baikal”.

The competition was held online and took place in Tyumen, all participants send videos of their reading poem of some selected Russian poets, and proudly I passed all the stage to the last stage, which I received a certificate not only me but my mentor Ms Nataliia  as well. I want to thank Ms Nataliia for her great effort in helping in my life endeavor and with proud I would like to say I love Russia with its culture and architecture.

Emerging many diplomas, awards and certificates by international student in few months and learning the Russian language is something worth of! And something that makes me knew that I am Unique!
