About the program
Master's degree program "Technology, equipment and quality system of welding production" is a logical continuation of the bachelor's program "Equipment and Technology of welding production". And the main disciplines of welding production are studied more deeply here. The issues of structure formation in the zone of thermal influence of the weld, mechanical and physical properties are studied at the fundamental level. In additive manufacturing, materials science is the basis of the technological process, when the parameters of shaping are an important indicator of the structure formation of metals and alloys. In this regard, disciplines related to the conduct of scientific research prepare graduates to solve the tasks of professional activity.
Learning outcomes
- Development, research and implementation of new technological processes of welding, surfacing, additive technologies;
- development, research of new materials for these technological processes;
- development, research and implementation of new technological processes of welding, surfacing, additive technologies;
- testing of machines and their components for reliability, analysis of reliability and durability of designed machines;
- design of various automatic control tools based on standard solutions;
- production management at the level of production sites and workshops, preparation and maintenance of existing production.

Graduates - masters are capable of activities that require in-depth fundamental and professional training, including research work. Graduates can work at such enterprises as PJSC Alrosa, PJSC Rosneft, PJSC Gazprom, Irkutsk Aircraft Factory, Irkutsk Oil Company.
