About the program
Radio engineering is one of the widest and actively developing area of human activity where electromagnetic waves are used to transmit and receive information in television and radio communications, and in many other areas like metrology, biology, medicine, industrial technologies. The specialty includes scientific research of theoretical issues of radio engineering, technical and technological development of television and communication devices. The objectives of the research are to create a theory of new electromagnetic phenomena, the principles of operation of radio systems and devices, the search for new radio materials and components, the development of test methods for radio engineering devices. Other important directions are study of phenomena of the passage of electromagnetic waves of various frequency ranges through the media; development and research of new methods and algorithms for processing radio signals including AI technologies. Research may also involve searching for ways of increasing the throughput and noise immunity of radio systems, development of advanced information digital technologies using neural networks for image recognition and signal processing.

Career opportunities
Upon graduation, postgraduate students defend a dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Sciences. The degree of candidate of technical sciences is conferred for development of radio systems, devices, devices, technological processes and their application in the national economy. The degree of candidate of physical and mathematical sciences is conferred for for theoretical research of new processes and phenomena in radio engineering, which make it possible to increase the efficiency of radio engineering devices, study of the phenomena of the passage of electromagnetic waves of various ranges through the physical media, their scattering and reflection. Scientific degree gives an opportunity to work in the technological, research and production and design departments of high-tech modern industries, factories for the production of modern instruments and equipment, in academic and industry research institutes and universities, teach in higher educational institutions.
