About the program
The objects of professional activity of graduates of the program are geological and industrial objects of subsoil development; geotechnologies of subsoil development, equipment and technical systems; methods, techniques and technologies for ensuring safe and environmentally friendly mining of mineral deposits; methods and systems for designing geotechnologies for exploration and development of subsoil; software tools for studying the geological structure of the subsoil, modeling the processes of prospecting, exploration, production and processing (enrichment), transportation and storage of minerals, designing equipment and technical systems, processing and analyzing research results.
Learning outcomes
- Knowledge of research, modeling, design of geotechnologies for the development of the resource potential of the subsoil;
- knowledge of research, forecasting and modeling of manifestations of geomechanical, hydrodynamic and gas-dynamic processes in the extraction, transportation and storage of minerals, construction of engineering (ground and underground) structures for various purposes;
- knowledge of research and development of innovative solutions to improve the technical level of production for the extraction, processing (enrichment), transportation and storage of minerals, construction of engineering (ground and underground) structures;
- knowledge of research, scientific substantiation of the principles and methods for ensuring industrial safety and environmental friendliness in prospecting, exploration, production and processing (enrichment), transportation and storage of minerals, construction of engineering (ground and underground).

After completing postgraduate studies and defending a dissertation, graduates can work as:
-teachers at higher education institutions,
-in research laboratories,
-in design institutes, technical control departments,
-in government agencies related to the analysis of ore reserves at deposits, their technological prospects, economic feasibility of development,
-experts in the technology departments of banks.
