Russian language teachers from four countries will improve their qualifications at INRTU

The ninth session of the summer school for teachers of Russian as a foreign language has started at INRTU. Sixteen educators from Mongolia, Uzbekistan, China, and Tajikistan will improve their qualifications.

It should be noted that summer schools for Russian language teachers have been held at the Department of Russian Language Didactics of the Baikal School of BRICS since 2022. The first participants were teachers from Mongolia, supported by the Mongolian Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature and with the personal involvement of its Vice-President, Sosorbaramyn Erdenemaam. Over this period, more than 120 teachers have honed their skills and shared best practices.

Anna Melenteva, Head of the International Affairs Department at INRTU, welcomed the participants on behalf of Stepan Bykov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs. She thanked all the summer school attendees for choosing INRTU to enhance their qualifications. Anna Melenteva also shared the two-week training programme.

"The mornings will be dedicated to training sessions on Russian as a foreign language teaching method, along with roundtable discussions for sharing best practices. The afternoons will feature guided tours of the city's sights and a trip to Lake Baikal."

According to Alla Antonova, Director of the Department of Russian Language Didactics of the Baikal School of BRICS, the training will be delivered by four teachers from INRTU.

"I want you to have two feelings in two weeks' time – a reluctance to leave us and a desire to come back again. May these days pass in a pleasant atmosphere of Russian language professionals, sharing the best competencies."
