About the program

Advanced Manufacturing Technologies is a master’s degree program that provides you with knowledges and skills required to design and implement advanced manufacturing technologies in the high-tech sector. Advanced manufacturing technologies are manufacturing systems including digital design and simulation technologies, new materials machining technologies, additive manufacturing and robotic systems.
The Advanced Manufacturing Technologies Program will teach you how these technologies play out in the product, from design to manufacture.
Students will get skills required to design high quality products and boost productivity in manufacturing and acquire an overview of innovative manufacturing technologies and materials. The master's degree program is aimed to train a new generation of engineers and researchers that will play a leading role in the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing technology in the high-tech sector. The program provides graduates with knowledge of technologies used in the design and manufacture of products from new materials, including composite ones.

Learning outcomes

  • Ability to develop processing control software for CNC machining centers;
  • Ability to choose innovative cutting and auxiliary tools and determine cutting conditions;
  • Skills required to conduct a metallographic analysis of aviation materials and alloys;
  • Skills required to apply automated positioning methods in the assembly production, to design and use mechanization and automation tools;
  • Ability to determine physical and technological criteria when choosing composite materials applied in the aviation industry;
  • Knowledge of control and testing methods for PCMs applied in the aviation industry.
