INRTU international students took part in the “International Youth Clubs” track at the Baikal Forum, which brings together talented participants fr om Russia and other countries every year. The event encourages them to take part in social, economic and cultural life.

At the “International Youth Clubs” venue, the Irkutsk Region signed an agreement with the World Youth Festival Directorate, becoming the first Russian region to do so. The Baikal Forum also launched a cultural exchange program with participants from friendly countries.

The program included meetings with experts such as Irkutsk Region Minister of Education Maksim Parfenov, test cosmonaut Ivan Vagner and psychologist Tatiana Muzhitskaya.

The teams worked on projects to expand the network of international clubs and discussed new ways to cooperate.

One of the participants was Tchuenkam Mbah Loic, an INRTU student from Cameroon and President of the INRTU International Student Council. He said the forum gave him new experience and ideas:

“An international youth club is a place wh ere people from different countries can meet, share ideas and build friendships. Nationality and language do not matter there. Such communities bring active participants together for joint projects.
The “International Youth Clubs” track showed that people from different continents and cultures can work well together, learn from each other and support one another”.

INRTU international students from the regional International Friendship Club will join the Irkutsk Region delegation at the International Youth Festival. The event will take place in Yekaterinburg from September 11 to 17 and bring together 10000 young leaders from 190 countries.
