On February 8, the exhibition "360 years of jewelry in Irkutsk" was ceremonially opened in the hall of INRTU. The exhibition brought together about 50 products made by INRTU students in various techniques.

The project is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Department of Jewelry Design and Technology of the Polytechnic University. The department is headed by Professor Raisa Moiseevna Lobatskaya.

The best term papers and theses were combined into the project "Unity of the world in jewelry art". Here are collected products that reflect the students' idea of the world around them. The authors have mastered the specialty "Technology of artistic processing of materials". Performing thematic tasks, they devoted decorations to red book animals and plants, stone and wooden architecture of Irkutsk. The Polytechnic students showed a personal vision of Art Deco and high-tech styles. The collection contains jewelry and stone-cutting works of graduates.
The authors used innovative techniques and a variety of materials from metals and gems to bone and glass. The first work is dated 1999 and was called "Fairy Tale". These are earrings and a ring in the Old Russian style with jade inserts.

One of the most striking works in 2017 was invented by Milana Kopylova. She created a semiparure "Magic Russia". The set includes a silver necklace, earrings, a ring and buttons. The central elements of the earrings and necklace are made in the form of currant leaves. The similarity with natural samples was achieved through the use of electroplating.
