Students of INRTU successfully finished internship in JSC «Polyus Magadan»

Nine students of the Institute of Subsoil Use of INRTU successfully passed an internship in JSC «Polyus Magadan»

JSC «Polyus Magadan» is the largest enterprise located in the Tenkinskiy District of the Magadan Region. More than 12 million tons of gold are extracted annually on average.

The company's management provided the students with decent conditions. They lived in dormitories in the camp, worked out in the gym in their free time and played football. The students were issued meal cards with a fixed amount of 600 rubles per day.

The INRTU students worked on a fixed-term contract, receiving a salary, taking into account the northern allowances.

Fifth-year student Nikita Kolosenok worked as a district surveyor. The student surveyed and drew points on the ground, made a topographic plan of the Natalka quarry. « Internship at «Polyus Magadan» left positive impressions. A good team, excellent working and leisure conditions. Next year I intend to do my pre-graduation internship here with further employment,» Nikita Kolosenok shared his impressions and plans.

Leonid Khartanov who studies at the faculty «Applied Geology» has an experience in field works of the Institute of the Earth Crust of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. At «Polyus Magadan», Leonid was engaged in lithogeochemical sampling, acted as an assistant geologist in the routes and worked on the upside field Mirazh area as part of the search team.

«During the internship I consolidated my knowledge and skills obtained at INRTU. Professor Galina Dmitrievna Maltseva gave me a very good theoretical foundation.

In addition to field work, I was involved in replenishing the database in the mining and geological system Micromine,» said Leonid Khartanov.

The student added that employees of the department of geological prospecting works of JSC «Polyus Magadan» helped him to adapt to conditions of production.

After graduation, Leonid plans to build a career at JSC «Polyus Magadan».
