BRICS announces the results of the Future academics English Olympiad
The Olympiad brought together 76 pupils from four subjects of the Russian Federation (Irkutsk Region, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Altai Territory, Primorsky Territory). The youngest participant was sixth grader Erdem Kukshinov from school No. 33 of Irkutsk.
The Olympiad was held in two stages: a test with different types of tasks and a creative competition. Despite the complexity of the tests, the participants showed a high level of proficiency in English.
Yana Kozyreva from Gymnasium No. 44 of Irkutsk won the first place. In the creative stage, Yana presented an interesting essay on a topical issue to the jury. She wrote about the causes and consequences of overpopulation of the world’s megacities.
The second place went to Tatiana Kholodkova (Lyceum No. 3, Irkutsk).

The winner of the competition, Yana Kozyreva received a 100% discount on the Linguistic Support for Business Communication program. Second and third place winners can expect 50% and 40% discounts on admission.
The BRICS is a new School of INRTU established in 2017. Training is conducted in English in seven undergraduate programmes: international business, ecology and environmental protection, sustainable innovation economy, journalism and communication technologies, modern electricity technologies, finance and taxation, linguistic support for business communications. BI BRICS also has three Masters programmes: Specialised Translation, Industrial Mathematics and Operations Research, Global Management and Leadership.
