The student of INRTU, Baljinima Osoheev, has become a prize-winner of the Russian Championship in arm wrestling among juniors

Baljinima Osoheev, the student of School of Subsurface Resource Management, won a bronze medal at the Russian Junior Armwrestling Championship in 65 kilograms category. The tournament took place on March 3-5 in Orel.

"I had nine rounds. My opponents were strong and experienced, they are the best athletes from each region of Russia. I was pleased with the high level of organization of the event. There was a live broadcast on the official YouTube channel of the Armwrestling Federation of Russia," said the student.

Baljinima is a third-year student of automation and electrification of mining production program at INRTU. He has been arm wrestling for four months under the guidance of INRTU coach, Anton Vasiliev.

According to Anton Vasiliev, Baljinima Osoheev became the first medalist of the Russian Junior Armwrestling Championship from the Irkutsk region:

"This is a very good result for a beginner, which will contribute to the popularization of this sport in the region. Armwrestlers must be in good physical shape, have perfect technique, as well as be intellectually developed. We train three times a week and practice different styles of wrestling."

There are 15 students who train at INRTU arm wrestling club. Anton Vasiliev invites both boys and girls to test their strength in this interesting sport:

"Classes will improve the physical form, there will be an opportunity to perform at Russian and international competitions."
