Mongolian National University of Education Students Complete Russian Language Teaching Program at INRTU

Students from the Mongolian National University of Education (MNUE) have completed the professional development program “Russian Philology: Modern Approaches to Education” at INRTU.

During the semester, ten students studied modern teaching methods, improved their Russian and English language skills, and took courses in Russian language theory and intercultural communication. The program helped them expand their professional knowledge and learn more about how education is organized at a Russian university.

Practical training was an important part of the program. The students independently taught classes for learners at the Baikal School of BRICS, students of the Preparatory Course, and first-year students in the Russian in Intercultural Context program at the BS BRICS. This experience allowed them to try themselves as teachers and put the knowledge and skills gained during the semester into practice.

The program ended with the defense of course papers before an academic committee. The research covered key topics in Russian philology, teaching Russian as a foreign language, and intercultural communication. The projects included “Phytonyms in Russian and Mongolian: Structure and Semantics”, “Using Interactive Methods in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language: The Dative Case Lesson”, and “Mongolian Loanwords in Russian as a Result of Intercultural Exchange”. Zhargalma Maiurova, Nataliia Petrova, and Oksana Atsanavong from the Department of Humanities and the Department of Russian Language Didactics at the BS BRICS supervised the projects.

After successfully defending their papers, the participants received certificates of completion. And after graduating from the MNUE, they will also be able to receive professional development diplomas from INRTU.
