INRTU took part in the opening of the International Forum “Baikal”
The International Youth Forum “Baikal” opened on August 15 on the coast of Mukhor Bay in Olkhon area. The main theme of the event is sustainable development, which aims to eliminating poverty, ensuring prosperity and preserving resources. INRTU organized the "Entrepreneurship" and "Youth Communities" discussions
The general partner of the Baikal Forum in 2023 is the regional branch of the Russian Movement of Children and Youth "Movement of the First". The event is supported by the OMODA car brand, Roscosmos, “Russia - Land of Opportunities”, VK, Agency for Strategic Initiatives, “My Business”, VEB.RF, “DIALOG REGIONS”, Russian Society "Znanie".
The Youth Forum “Baikal” brought together about 600 participants fr om 66 regions of Russia, representatives of Uzbekistan, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The organizers prepared a rich educational program and extracurricular activities on tourism, intercultural exchange, ecology, and creative industries.
INRTU in cooperation with the “My Business” is organizing an Entrepreneurship discussions. According to Daria Lobanova, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy, the lectures and workshops are designed to form an open group of young people ready to create and commercialise business projects.
The "Youth Communities" platform is supervised by Elena Ivanova, Chairman of the Student Council of INRTU. According to her, the program of the summer training is aimed at the development of interaction between active young people and state authorities.
Anatoly Seryshev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District, took part in the opening ceremony. He said that the forum is an international discussion unites talented children with active lifestyle:
“You are the ones who create the future of Russia, on whom our country relies today, and the Motherland is waiting for your projects. The event takes place at a time when serious changes are taking place in the world. Our country has to defend its right to development, to preserve traditional spiritual and moral values. It is important to remember that the crisis opens up new opportunities for development.
It is valuable that this year young people from the Luhansk and Donetsk Republics and Zaporozhye region are participating in the Forum, who will be able to apply the knowledge gained in developing their own projects for the restoration and development of their native regions.”
Igor Kobzev, Governor of the Irkutsk Region, addressing the participants and guests, noted that everyone at the forum can expect new acquaintances, positive emotions and, above all, evaluation of the work on projects:
“For 15 years now, we have been organising a place wh ere young people generate ideas and make plans to improve areas important to our country. Today we again see talented young people with high motivation. I am confident that the forum will become a starting point for your professional career.
We constantly say that a new team are needed for the further development of the Irkutsk Region. And it is impossible to create it out of old specialists only. In launching the innovation process, we pay special attention to working with young politicians, organisers and activists. It is from this environment that we will attract talented passionate people to join our team”.
Guests and participants of the event were welcomed by Margarita Tsyganova, Minister of Youth Policy of the region, Andrey Abrusevich, Chief Federal Inspector for the Irkutsk Region, and Marina Sedykh, General Director of “INK-Capital”.
Student creative teams performed on the stage. The song "This Summer" was performed by the guys from Irkutsk State University. Vocal group "Poi, Friend!" of INRTU under the direction of choirmaster Galina Gilenova performed the anthem of Russia.
At the end of the event, Igor Kobzev, Governor of the Irkutsk Region, Alexander Vedernikov, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly, and Kirill Istomin, First Deputy General Director of ”Dialogue regions”, met with young people. They asked questions about expanding support measures for young teachers, eco-education, the construction of an inter-university campus, and the development of industry in the Irkutsk Region. Young people were interested in international cultural projects and building a career as public officials.
For the first time, the Governor's Symphony Orchestra under the supervision of conductor Maxim Kachalov performed on an open stage on the shore of Lake Baikal. The orchestra performed compositions of world cinema and Russian classics.
