INRTU Accommodation Center gave out the keys to the dorm rooms to 700 first-year students during the 1st day of work

The settlement of first-year students in the dormitories of the INRTU Campus started on August 21. On the first day of work of the Accommodation Center, about 700 students received the keys to the rooms.

The work of the Center was checked by the Rector of INRTU Mikhail Kornyakov and the head of the campus administration Roman Grinyuk.

According to Roman Grinyuk, this year the dormitories are ready to accomodate about four thousand students. The dormitories are located in the streets of Lermontov, Igoshin, Academician Kurchatov, are located within walking distance fr om the university.

The Center is headed by Anastasia Bulasheva, the Deputy Director of the Campus for General Issues. The task of the department is to help freshman students get acquainted with the infrastructure of the Campus.

"On the first day, we accommodated about 500 people just before lunchtime. To cope with such a large flow, we annually attract student volunteers and Trade Union activists.

Traditionally, check-in is carried out in the order of arrival. First-year students are accommodated from August 21 to September 1,. Starting from August 28, the keys to the rooms are given to undergraduates based on the rating system," says Anastasia Bulasheva.

In the Accommodation Center, first-year students must provide a passport, a medical certificate of fluorography, four photos. Then the freshmen students, accompanied by volunteers, go to dormitories. wh ere a rent contract, a pass, and keys to the room are issued.

The staff of the dormitories introduce internal regulations, safety procedures to the students, instruct them on working with household appliances.

Anton Nakonechny from Zima was one of the first to receive the keys to the dorm room No. 7. At INRTU, he will stydy "Construction, operation, restoration and technical cover of highways, bridges and tunnels".

"Representatives of the INRTU Accommodation Center promptly processed all the documents, provided a map of the university campus, according to which it was easy to find a dorm

I intended to enter INRTU in high school. I did well at school and successfully passed the graduation exams. I am sure that graduates of INRTU are isought-after not only in the Irkutsk region, but also outside the region," Anton Nakonechny said.

The future machine-builder Kirill Rudnev, who moved to Irkutsk from Taishet, was accommodated in the dormitory No. 1:

"I was impressed by the number of first-year students who want to move into dormitories. However, the staff of the Center do a good job and I stood in line for less than an hour.

The profession of a machine builder is relevant for any industrial production. I have been interested in studying it since childhood. It all started with the assembly of the LEGO Technic designer, then upgraded my motorcycle and my car. I plan to get a high-quality education at INRTU, to become a high-class engineer."

We would like to draw students' attention to the fact that check-in to dormitories takes place in two stages. The Center will be open in the Technopark INRTU on August 21-September 1 from 08:30 to 17:00. Then applications for settlement will be accepted at 89 Lermontov St. (campus directorate, entrance from the courtyard).
