INRTU Siberian School of Geosciences — participant of Mining and Geological forum "MINGEO Eurasia 2022"

INRTU Employees of the Siberian School of Geosciences took part in the international Mining and Geological forum «MINGEO Eurasia 2022». The key theme of the forum is «The mineral wealth of Eurasia: on way to prosperity and progress».

The event on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul brought together more than 150 experts from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, China and other countries, for discussing the prospects of the mineral resources industry of the Eurasian macroregion in the new market realities. As scientific director of the Siberian School of Geosciences Alexander Parshin notes:

"a very small part of the territory in Central Asia, which is rich in mineral resources, has been explored. An important factor for exploration is the mild climate. If field expeditions usually finished in Siberia when with cold weather coming, here in this place you can comfortably work for a long period of time... ."

Within the framework of the plenary session devoted to the main achievements in creating an information space for subsurface use, Alexander Parshin presented the report "Accelerated geological exploration projects of "one field season" — methods, technologies and features of implementation in the ecosystem of the university".

He drew the attention of representatives of mining and geological companies to the fact that INRTU is not just a «forge of personnel», but an active subject of the mining and geological industry in the areas of service, research, engineering and non-traditional business formats. However, according to the speaker, the new business models proposed by INRTU are impossible for private companies. The report appealed to the colleagues professionally.

Alexander Parshin said that negotiations are ongoing to enter the Kyrgyz market within the joint projects with national business.
Yuri Davydenko, Director of Marketing and Project Education of the Siberian School of Geosciences, has been working on a scientific and practical exhibition included into the program of the MINGEO Eurasia 2022 forum. New technologies in geophysics presented on the INRTU stand aroused great interest among the event’ participants. The INRTU staff members held talks with representatives of russian and foreign companies.

INRTU employees have been discussing with the executives of the Asanaliev Kyrgyz State University of Geology, Mining and Development of Natural Resources the possibility of signing a memorandum involving the development of cooperation between the two universities. It is planned to create a joint scientific and educational center on the basis of the Kyrgyz University.

"Kyrgyzstan is a very promising territory from its geological exploration. There are a lot of places to study, but the number of the companies that work there is very limited. In addition, as far as we know, the legislation on subsoil use is being changed in the country, which will make the industry attractive to investors — following the example of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan."

The representatives of Kumtor, the largest high-altitude gold filed in Central Asia, which is the city-forming enterprise of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, have now a big interest in geophysical surveys of INRTU.
