INRTU School of Power Engineering Graduates 69 Students with Honors

INRTU awarded diplomas to 210 bachelor's and master's graduates of the School of Power Engineering. 69 students graduated with honors, and 9 were named among the university's Top 100 Graduates. The Corporate Research and Education Center “EN+ INRTU” also celebrated 86 graduates who will soon join EN+ companies, where they will work on major projects and build their careers with support from experienced mentors.

The ceremony opened with a performance by the Ballroom Dance Club “Akademik”. INRTU Rector Mikhail Korniakov congratulated the graduates and thanked them for their active contribution to university life.

“I wish you success in reaching your goals and always striving for more. Remember your professors, who supported you throughout your studies and helped you become skilled professionals.
Today, you join the INRTU alumni community. Our doors are always open, and we will be glad to welcome you back for further studies”.

As part of a long-standing graduation tradition, Mikhail Korniakov performed the song “A Man in Love with Polytech”.

Graduates were also addressed by David Pogosbekov, First Deputy CEO for Commerce and Capital Construction, En+ Generation JSC.

“I would like to thank the faculty and leadership of INRTU for preparing talented young professionals. INRTU is an important strategic partner for our company. We look forward to welcoming many of you to our team. Great opportunities lie ahead, so be confident and pursue your goals”.

Oleg Prichko, CEO of Baikal Energy Company, also congratulated the graduates.

“When I first came to this university in 1980, I was told that the INRTU was the best. Over the years, I have never doubted those words. Today, a new chapter begins in your lives, and your work should make a positive difference for people”.

Andrey Yakimenko, Director of the Irkutsk Branch of Gazprom Energo, highlighted the importance of the energy profession.

“Dear graduates, professors, and parents, you have come a long way. I hope our graduates stay true to the profession they have chosen, because energy specialists play a key role in both industry and everyday life”.

Diplomas were presented by INRTU Rector Mikhail Korniakov and Director of the School of Power Engineering Ekaterina Samarkina.

“Power engineering keeps communities and industries running by providing heat and electricity. I thank our professors for their dedication and our students' parents for their support. I am confident our graduates will start their careers with enthusiasm, and our industry partners will help them succeed,”

said Ekaterina Samarkina.

Honors graduate Evgeny Petrov said that studying at INRTU helped shape his future career.

“I enjoyed studying, and earning an honors degree was the result of hard work. I am glad I chose INRTU. I made great friends here who were always ready to help and support me. I plan to work at CHP-11 in Usolye-Sibirskoye”.
