INRTU’s iPolytech Journal is Included in the Chemical Abstracts Service Database

At the end of August, the editorial team of INRTU’s iPolytech Journal received a letter confirming that the journal had been added to the international Chemical Abstracts Service database.

Chemical Abstracts has been published since 1907 by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), a division of the American Chemical Society. The publication covers scientific research in chemistry and related fields. CAS is based in Columbus, Ohio.

The database covers much more than chemistry. It also includes biochemistry, chemical and bioengineering, materials science, nanotechnology, as well as many areas of physics, geology and metallurgy.

Chemical Abstracts is one of the international research databases recognized by Russia’s Higher Attestation Commission (VAK). Under VAK Recommendation No. 2-pl/1 of October 26, 2022, publications indexed in such databases can count toward the publication requirements for PhD and doctoral degrees. This makes the journal’s inclusion especially important for researchers working toward these degrees.
