INRTU has Moved Up 50 Positions in the GreenMetric-2026 World Ranking and Entered the Top 3 "Green" Universities in Russia

INRTU has strengthened its reputation as one of the leaders in environmental sustainability, showing significant growth in the authoritative international UI GreenMetric-2026 Ranking. The university took 111th place in the world, improving its last year's result by as many as 51 positions. The achievement is especially significant against the backdrop of an increase in the total number of participants: in 2026, the ranking evaluated 2016 universities from 110 countries, whereas a year earlier there were 1745 of them.

In the national standings, INRTU entered the top 3 best universities in Russia, taking third place. In total, 51 universities from Russia were included in the ranking. First place among Russian participants was taken by RUDN University, and second by Siberian Federal University.

The greatest increase in points for INRTU was provided by the categories "Setting and Infrastructure," "Transportation," and "Education and Research." The traditionally strong areas remained "Energy and Climate Change" and "Waste." INRTU's final result was 8575 points.
