INRTU at the conference of the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities

Delegation of INRTU took part in the Annual Conference of the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU). It was dedicated to the issues of low-carbon energy and sustainable development. The event was held at Chinese University of Petroleum (Qingdao).

The Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities was established on March 6, 2011. The organization unites more than 70 universities that develop joint projects. More than 300 teachers and students from 25 universities of the two countries became participants in the ASRTU summer forum.

Xia Shuang, assistant to the rector of INRTU, said that the conference was preceded by a visit to the Supercomputer center (Jinan). The meeting with the scientists of Shandong Polytechnic University was also significant:

“The university has shown interest in the master's program of the BS BRICS in Industrial Mathematics and Operations Research. The head of the program is Professor Denis Sidorov. It is planned that 20 students from Shandong University will arrive at INRTU for one semester.”

Xia Shuang also pointed out that INRTU was admitted to the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities in 2018. That is why the staff of the university joined the work of the forum on green engineering, during which other topics of cooperation were discussed.

“As part of the conference, I offered to translate the works of Professor Vladimir Voronov into Chinese. In addition, I invited Chinese universities with bandy teams to take part in the competition. The sporting event will take place in October. Teachers can attend free courses in Russian as a foreign language at INRTU. Also, INRTU is ready to help Russian startup studios, Technoparks in advertising campaigns and entering the Chinese market,” added Xia Shuang.

Denis Sidorov, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Laboratory of Industrial Mathematics of the BS BRICS, is the author of the report “Mathematical Modeling and Management of Net Zero Energy Communities within the Fourth Energy Transition”.

“We offer a unified approach to the design and management of microgrids with distributed green generation. The location of the facilities is planned with consideration to the economic and environmental features of the area. I paid special attention to the experience of using author's machine learning methods. Colleagues were also interested in the practice of mathematical modeling through the example of energy communities in the nature protection zones of Lake Baikal,” said Denis Sidorov.

According to Denis Sidorov, the Northern Hebei University (Zhangjiakou) intends to develop scientific and technical projects with INRTU. INRTU and the administration of the Faculty of Mathematics of the China University of Geosciences (Beijing) agreed on internships for students.

INRTU staff also visited the historic center of Qingdao and the summer imperial palace in Beijing.

Denis Sidorov announced the results of the working trip to Rector Mikhail Kornyakov.
