Participants of the International Urban Planning University are solving the problems of Baikalsk and Solzan
The 23rd session of the International Baikal City Planning University, organized with the assistance of INRTU, continues in Irkutsk. More than 30 architects, ecologists, city planners and urbanists from Russia, Colombia, Egypt, Tajikistan and Vietnam participate in the workshop. Last Saturday, the teams presented their first concepts for the development of districts of Baikalsk and Solzan settlement.

INRTU won a 3 million ruble grant from the Ministry of Enlightenment of the Russian Federation to create online Russian language courses
INRTU won a grant of 3 million rubles from the Ministry of Enlightenment of the Russian Federation to implement the project "Creation of online courses in Russian language within the framework of the "Middle of the Earth" Open Education Center of Baikal School of BRICS". There were 147 applications for the competitive selection within the activities of the state program "Development of Education", Irkutsk Polytechnic was among the 67 winners.

INRTU is planning to train the specialists from the Republic of Bangladesh and develop scientific cooperation with universities
Kamrul Ahsan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in the Russian Federation, visited INRTU. During his visit, he met with the senior management of Irkutsk Polytechnic University and got acquainted with the educational and research potential of the university. The parties discussed the perspectives on personnel training and cooperation between universities.

Staff from the Moscow Museum of Design delivered lectures at INRTU
On July 1 a run of lectures «Russian design: yesterday, today, tomorrow» was held at INRTU with participation of representatives of the Moscow museum of design. They told the Polytechnic students about the history of Soviet art, creating theatrical scenery and using non-standard materials in their work.
