Rector Mikhail Kornyakov, mayor of Irkutsk Ruslan Bolotov and industrial partners of INRTU addressed the first-year students with parting speech. The celebratory event took place on the main square of the university.

The Scientists of INRTU and the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia discussed the reconstruction of the paleoclimate
On August, 26 representatives of the Academy of Sciences of the Mongolian People’s Republic visited INRTU. The scientists discussed the prospects for exploring caves in the vicinity of Khubsugul and reconstruction of climate changes.

The announced Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest (China) was presented at INRTU
On 25 August, 2022, a presentation on the international Innovation and Entrepreneurship contest was held in INRTU with the support of staff of the international project’s office, the admissions committee and the support service of the Baikal School of BRICS. The purpose of the event was to inform researchers and students of IRNTU about the relevance of the contest in development, key requirements and conditions, as well as to discuss the prospects for submitting applications next year.

Irkutsk Polytechnic students complete an internship at the SCAMT International Science Centre at ITMO University
Students of INRTU's School of High Technologies Nikita Svinkin and Victoria Volosatova completed an internship at the International SCAMT Centre of ITMO University (St. Petersburg). They also took part in SCAMT Workshop Week scientific school.

INRTU's experience in training staff for the oil and gas industry was presented by Vice-Rector Vladimir Smirnov at the "Eastern Siberia 2022" conference
Vladimir Smirnov, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of INRTU, presented the university's experience in training personnel for the oil and gas industry at the opening of the Eastern Siberia 2022 conference. The technical industry forum started in the capital of the Angara Region on 23 August.

Russian language teachers from Mongolia upgraded their skills at the School of BRICS
Mongolian teachers of Russian have successfully completed a professional development course within the INRTU summer school. The ceremonial awarding of certificates took place at the Baikal School of BRICS on 19 August.
