More Than 100 INRTU Freshmen Were Interested in the School of Young Leader

More than 100 first-year INRTU students were interested in the School of Young Leader within the educational project "PROFDVIZHENIE". The event, which took place on October 1, was organized by the Trade Union of INRTU students.

According to Anton Koshkin, specialist in organizational work, the key goal of the School is to help freshmen to improve leadership qualities, to present the areas of extracurricular activities:

"We have prepared a series of interesting workshops. The program focused on newcomers' adaptation to the university lasted fr om 10:00 to 20:00. We organized a transfer service for non-resident students. Throughout the day INRTU students earned special currency - profcoins, which could be used to buy merch.

I organized a workshop on developing emotional intelligence. In the modern world it is important to manage your emotions, especially during the exams.

We got a positive response, the participants were able to set themselves up for productive work at the beginning of the semester. We plan to organize another series of intensives before the New Year. Then the School of Personal Growth and Student Self-Governance will start. Traditionally, in summer we invite everyone to the Student Activist School".

Young leaders were interested in the business game conducted by Daria Lobanova, INRTU Vice-Rector for Youth Policy. She offered students to solve cases, wh ere they had to model the work of the university departments.

At the master class of the Career Center specialist Ksenia Lineitseva the freshmen learned how not to avoid mistakes during the interview and why it is important to undergo industrial practice at the enterprise. Besides, she helped the students to make an effective portfolio.

Alina Sinyavina, a student of the School of Information Technologies and Data Science, shared time management techniques. With their help, students will be able to successfully combine studying at the university and extracurricular activities.

Practical training by the expert Maria Dubrovina let the first-year students become more communicative, solve conflict situations and master the techniques of constructive communication.

Daria Balashova, Information Work Specialist of INRTU Students' Trade Union Committee, spoke on the importance of personal brand. Darya emphasized the issues of brand promotion through social networks.

Aldar Tsydenov, a first-year student of the School of Aircraft Engineering and Transport, became one of the school's participants. He said that he remembered the workshop on time management most of all. He has already started applying his acquired knowledge in his life.
