INRTU held a concert «POLifonia» dedicated to the International Day of Music and the 85th anniversary of the Irkutsk region. The audience enjoyed performances by creative teams of the Center for Cultural, Mass and Educational Work of the University.

On September 30, BRICS organized a «Freshman Day». INRTU rectorate, professors and partners congratulated first-year students on the beginning of the academic year. Foreign citizens who won the Government scholarship of the Russian Federation study at INRTU without cost
Foreign citizens can study at Russian universities without cost, including INRTU. For this purpose it is necessary to win a government scholarship of the Russian Federation. The competition was announced by Anna Melenteva, acting head of International Affairs Department.

The best participants of «Baikal Tech Com - 2022» training camp were awarded at INRTU Technopark. The first degree diplomas were awarded to INRTU student Victor Filatov and Shakir Bikmetov from the National University of Science and Technology «MISIS» (Moscow)

More than 700 INRTU freshmen were initiated into students
On September 24-25, INRTU held a traditional initiation ceremony. More than 700 first-year students participated in the ceremony. In 2013 the event was organized by the Student's Trade Union Committee with the support of INRTU administration for the first time.

INRTU moved up to 17th place on the rating-list of English-language versions of university websites. The university showed the best dynamics in Russia
On September 23, 2022 the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) issued its latest report «Electronic Internationalization: English-language Internet Resources of Russian Universities (2022)» which presents an updated rating of English-language versions of Russian universities websites and gives recommendations for their development. The launch event was held at the Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin.
