About the program
The Master's program is aimed at mastering the methods of ecological safety in the modern world, formation of comfortable for human life and activity in technosphere, minimization of anthropogenic impact on natural environment, protection of human life and health by using modern technical facilities, methods of control and forecasting. Environmental safety is a set of states, processes and actions that provide ecological balance in the environment and do not lead to vital damages (or threats of such damages) to the natural environment and human beings. It is also a process of ensuring protection of vital interests of an individual, society, nature, state and all mankind from real or potential threats created by anthropogenic or natural impact on the environment. The objects of environmental security are the rights, material and spiritual needs of the individual, natural resources and the natural environment or the material basis of state and social development.
Learning outcomes
- Ability to engage in research and creative innovation activities in interdisciplinary areas related to the selection, optimization and development of highly effective technologies and systems of environmental safety and human and environmental protection.
- Ability to participate in interdisciplinary and international projects in the field of environmental safety.
- Knowledge required to carry out expert, supervisory and auditing activities to monitor and review the environmental safety of technical projects, production facilities, aimed at reducing the negative impact on people and the environment.
- Knowledge of environmental norms and standards to ensure environmental safety of business entities: enterprises, organizations.
- Ability to engage in research and creative innovation activities in interdisciplinary areas related to the selection, optimization and development of highly effective technologies and systems of environmental safety and human and environmental protection.
Career opportunities
The graduates of the Master's program are highly qualified specialists who will be able to work effectively at large industrial enterprises, higher education institutions; conduct work in the field of environmental protection, including in regional, city and district environmental protection committees; in nature protection and occupational safety laboratories; in research and engineering institutes.
