Unveiling Linguistic Excellence: A Journey to the Interuniversity Phonetic Competition in Russian as a Foreign Language
Ahmad Garba Yakubu, a diligent student of aircraft and helicopter engineering fr om Nigeria at INRTU with Kareem Jbira a student of Artificial intelligence from Syria in INRTU, found themselves embarking on an extraordinary journey to the Interuniversity Phonetic Competition in Russian as a Foreign Language. Alongside them were his fellow students from China (Kuang Zanquan), Mongolia (Tuyaa Amarzaya, Voilinyenko Elizavyeta, Batbaatar Altangadas), South Korea (Lee Seonyeong). All united by their shared passion for mastering the nuances of the Russian language.
Under the expert guidance of their dedicated teachers, Nataliia Petrova and Ekaterina Karpets, the students underwent rigorous training to hone their pronunciation, intonation, and overall fluency in Russian. Their hard work and determination paved the way for an unforgettable experience at the competition.
As the clock struck 13:30, the group boarded a bus bound for the competition venue. Excitement and anticipation filled the air as they prepared to showcase their skills on a stage wh ere linguistic excellence reigned supreme. The competition featured several stages with a variety of tasks tailored to challenge students at different proficiency levels.
Ahmad, representing Nigeria with pride, delivered a stellar performance that earned him the prestigious 3rd place in the category of bachelor students. His Mongolian counterparts, Batbatar Altangadas and Voilinyenko Elizavyeta, also shone brightly, securing 3rd and 2nd place respectively in their categories. Though Kareem Jbira didn't place among the top three, his dedication and hard work were commendable.
The triumphant students were awarded certificates of achievement and complimentary theater tickets as tokens of their success. As they posed for photos at the end of the event, their faces beamed with pride and joy, cherishing the memories of a day filled with camaraderie, competition, and cultural exchange.
