Foreign students are tempered by Siberia
Alemayhu Bersabeh Binyam, a student of Artificial Intelligence Group, has completed one more year at Baikal School of BRICS. She is amazed to discover that studying in Siberia is her fancy.
As a foreign student, I find that studying abroad allows to us to get valuable experience and possess various skills that we can use throughout our lives. By overcoming all the challenges, we develop resilience and adaptability that can serve us well in our future careers. Additionally, as my own experience, we will have a chance to meet many kinds of people in this world and become friends who are like family. I believe that friends are the family we choose.
However, there are also many challenges for foreign students:
At first, it is a language barrier. Most of us may not be fluent in the language of the country we are studying in, which can make it difficult to understand lectures, communicate with others, and complete assignments. This can lead to feelings of isolation and frustration.
The 2nd challenge is adapting to a new culture environment. As foreign students, we may experience climate and culture shock when we first arrive in a new country, as we navigate different customs, norms, and values. This can also impact our social life and relationships. Additionally, financial issues can be a major concern for international students. We may face higher tuition fees than domestic students and may struggle to find part-time work to support ourselves while studying. Finally, homesickness and missing family and friends back home can also be a significant challenge for foreign students.
In conclusion, challenges are a part of everyday life. They make us stronger, and without them, life becomes somewhat meaningless. Challenges help us grow, evolve and become unstoppable. They push us to stretch our boundaries, step out of our comfort zone and bring out the best in us. For everyone facing challenges in their life, remember that every challenge you face today makes you stronger tomorrow.
