INRTU signed an agreement with five universities of Siberian Federal District (SFD) on the formation of unified personnel reserve of university graduates in the fields of architecture, urban planning and construction
Agreement on cooperation in education and science was signed by Irkutsk National Research Technical University, Altai State Technical University , Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin), Novosibirsk State University of Architecture, Design and Arts, Siberian Federal University and Tomsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
The agreement signing ceremony was held in a solemn atmosphere and became one of the key events of the Siberian Construction Forum and the XXII Interregional Festival «Architecture in Siberia – 2022».The event took place on September 7-9 in Novosibirsk.
The universities will jointly implement the programs of personnel reserve «Young architects of Siberia» and «Young builders of Siberia» with annual rating of professional recognition such as «Top-50 of architects and urban planners graduates» and «Top-50 of construction graduates». The universities also plan to involve representatives of the professional community (architects, builders) as experts in educational programs.
The programs will be implemented by conducting master classes of leading architects and builders. Also, actual topics of development of Siberian cities and territories will be considered at the project sessions of the International Baikal Winter Urban Planning University with participation of students, postgraduates, professors and scientists, including foreign students and specialists. There is a plan to create a common database of design and construction companies as a place of internships and future work, as well as the formation of the Consult Institute of practicing architects and builders.
Large-scale project is the initiative of INRTU. Rector of the university Mikhail Kornyakov emphasized that the idea of creating the unified personnel reserve of graduates in architecture of the Siberian Federal District appeared in 2020. That year the university started to implement the innovative program «Young architects. Personnel Reserve». Over the past three years, more than 300 students have completed the program. Top 10 of graduates of INRTU, recognized by the professional rating and the expert community, get the most interesting job in design institutes, architectural studios of the Irkutsk region, Moscow and St. Petersburg every year.
«It is important for us that the project develops not only in our university. It is important to create a professional community of graduates from Siberian cities in the field of architecture and urban planning and construction. The curator of the personnel reserve «Young Builders of Siberia» is supposed to be Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin)», - Mikhail Kornyakov said.
Within the forum, a roundtable «Personnel support in the field of architecture and construction» was held. The main discussion topics were the human resources policy in the field of architecture and construction and improvement of human resources in the field of design and construction within the continuing education system. Sergey Alexandrov made a report on the development of the International Baikal Winter Urban Planning University.
Having heard the reports, the round table participants reached several provisions of the resolution such as: early inclusion of students in professional activities with the possibility of employment in different departments of university, increasing the amount of internship, increasing the number of budget places in academic programs of architecture, reconstruction and restoration of architectural heritage, urban planning, construction etc. Also, universities aim to develop regional academic research and educational centers on the basis of universities in the system of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences in order to coordinate the sphere of education, science and internship.
