INRTU implements a strategic project for the industrial partner Sayanskkhimplast JSC

INRTU employees visited Sayanskkhimplast JSC, the largest producer of polyvinyl chloride in Russia.

Chief executives of the plant proposed INRTU to evaluate the possibility of reconstructing the electricity and heat supply systems. This project will be implemented within the Priority 2030 Program,- (i.DIT) as a part of the strategic project “Digital Industrial Technologies”.

As Vadim Fedchishin, director of INRTU School of Energy, emphasized, Sayanskkhimplast JSC is a strategic partner of the university:

“The executives of the enterprise understand that advanced technologies will increase the efficiency and reliability of the equipment. We will determine the efficiency of the heating, ventilation and hot water supply system. Based on the data obtained, we will develop solutions to reduce heat losses and optimize heat carrier costs.

At present, the modernization of the manufacturing process cannot be carried out without complex modeling of the energy supply system using BIM technologies. Our colleagues from the School of Architecture, Construction and Design have such experience,” says Vadim Fedchyshyn.

Also, the director of the School of Energy noted that some undergraduates and graduate students of Irkutsk Technical University will have an outstanding chance to be involved in scientific and practical activities of this project.
