Dashdorj Zolzaya, an employee of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, told the Polytechnic students about the impact of Big Data on human life

A seminar on the topic "The role of big data in scientific research and education" was held at the Irkutsk Polytechnic University. The speaker was Dashdorj Zolzaya, an employee of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST). She was invited to INRTU as a highly qualified foreign specialist.

Dashdorj Zolzaya is a software developer. She mastered the profession 16 years ago in MUST. That this university is a partner of the INRTU in the implementation of an English-language master's program aimed at training personnel for the information industry of Mongolia. In 2015, Dashdorj Zolzaya received a bachelor's degree in ICT at the University of Trento (Italy). Since 2021, she has been an associate professor at the Department of Computer Science at his alma Mater. He also has research experience in the field of machine learning and knowledge management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and South Korea's Yonsei University.
The speaker noted that Big Data is changing a person's life from a technological point of view. The analysis and subsequent integration of such information optimizes the operation of digital tools in the energy, industry, education, medicine, trade and the media industry. 

In addition, the speaker touched upon the issues of behavioral analysis. She told how to use digitalization tools to study the actions of customers of shops, hospitals, fitness clubs, how to track the movement of objects (players on the football field, traffic flows).

According to the lecturer, educational and scientific institutions are excellent providers of big data. Universities and industry should cooperate to create scalable and reliable knowledge-intensive solutions. This is the only way Data analytics will be effective.

Dashdorj Zolzaya arrived in Irkutsk in mid-February 2022. According to her, the capital of Eastern Siberia and the campus of the Technical University make a positive impression:

"Irkutsk is an amazing, family-friendly city, lively and calm. He has a mixed lifestyle, combining tradition and modernity. It's nice that Irkutsk is located near Lake Baikal.

INRTU is distinguished by a friendly team. The International Office takes care of foreign employees and students. The university management encourages research cooperation and promotes the projects of teachers both inside and outside the Polytechnic University."

In the next four months, Zolzaya Dashdorj will conduct classes with undergraduates of INRTU, prepare grant applications. She plans to organize a series of open scientific (research and methodological) seminars. Information about this will soon appear on the university's website. In addition, round tables are expected to be held with the participation of industrial and strategic partners of the Polytechnic University. The events will discuss the search and effective use of big data in production.
