Postgraduate Graduation at INRTU
A graduation ceremony for postgraduates was organized in the assembly hall of INRTU. Diplomas were presented ceremoniously to 48 INRTU graduates who completed studies in various fields.
Addressing the guests of honor, Rector Mikhail Korniakov emphasized the significance of the event:

“Today, we graduate not only our bachelors and masters but also postgraduates. I am confident many of you will pursue careers in science and teaching.
Do not forget INRTU and your research supervisors who accompanied you on this journey. I wish postgraduates to set ambitious goals and achieve them. May all your plans come true”.
Following tradition, Mikhail Korniakov delighted graduates with the song “A Man in Love with Polytech”.
As Head of the Department for Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Yulia Pomernyuk reported, INRTU also awarded completion certificates to nine postgraduates in June after their three-year program.

“I congratulate you on completing the third level of higher education. I wish you successful defense of candidate dissertations, earning long-awaited Candidate of Science (PhD) diplomas, and returning to our university as lecturers,” said Yulia Pomerniuk during the award ceremony.
INRTU has trained highest-qualification personnel for 76 years. The 2025 postgraduates specialized in Earth sciences, computer science, mechanical engineering, law, construction, and other fields.
During their studies, graduates excelled in science, received scholarships from the INRTU rector and Governor of Irkutsk Region. INRTU students were awarded Russian Government and Presidential scholarships, led the “Future Teacher” competition, and published in high-ranking journals.
Viktor Bober, a winner of the “Future Teacher” competition, mastered construction technology and management. His candidate dissertation focuses on schematic-structural optimization and redundancy of wastewater systems. His scientific advisor is Head of the Department of Urban Planning and Municipal Engineering, Professor Viktor Chupin.

According to the postgraduate, he successfully passed his pre-defense and plans to obtain his academic degree this year.
Notably, the postgraduate graduation concluded the diploma-awarding ceremonies at INRTU. In 2025, the university graduated 2768 individuals, with 2119 receiving higher education. The secondary vocational education (SVO) faculty prepared 601 graduates.
