IV International Summer School of Russian Language Concludes at INRTU
INRTU recently hosted the closing ceremony and project presentations of the 4th International Summer School of Russian Language. Certificates were awarded to 24 students from China, Mongolia, and Uzbekistan.
The school was held from June 2 at the Baikal School of BRICS. Participants improved their Russian language skills, explored Siberian culture and landmarks, visited Bolshiye Koty, took a trip along the Circum-Baikal Railway, and toured the Taltsy Architectural and Ethnographic Museum.
Stepan Bykov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, congratulated the students:

“Thank you for your interest in the school. You improved your language skills, experienced the beauty of Siberia, and made new friends. We hope to see some of you return to study at INRTU in the future.”
According to Nina Berngard, Head of the International Office, the program had two tracks: beginners studied vocabulary and phonetics, while advanced students focused on teaching methodology.

“You all achieved great progress and became part of a multicultural environment. Thank you to all the staff and students who supported this program,” she said.
The student delegations were accompanied by university lecturers. Mahigul Dzhurabaeva, a Russian language teacher from Kimyo International University in Tashkent, shared her impressions:

“This is my second time at INRTU, and the students from Uzbekistan were truly impressed by the hospitality, nature, and Lake Baikal.”
Before receiving certificates, students presented projects on the cultures of their home countries and universities. Among the presenters was first-year student Nozima Abdusavridinova, who studies Russian philology at Kimyo:

“The summer school was an unforgettable experience. I saw Lake Baikal for the first time, made new friends, and appreciated the care and professionalism of the Baikal School of BRICS teachers.”
Maria Valeriyevna, a participant from the Mongolian State University of Education, added:

“We spent 10 wonderful days in Irkutsk. It felt like home. We plan to return next summer—this time with our first-year students, and ourselves as third-year students for academic exchange.
A visit to Irkutsk is a vivid adventure that I will remember for many years to come. Thanks to this trip, I saw Lake Baikal for the first time and met new friends.”
