Irkutsk polytechnic students are invited to take part in a hackathon as part of the Artificial Intelligence project

The project is initiated by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the operator is ANO «Russia — Land of Opportunities», the organizing partner is the Russian Association of Electronic Communications.

Evgeny Afanasiev, the coordinator for work with the regions, says that the hackathon program will include three tasks fr om the departments and businesses. For each of the tasks there will be a prize fund for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finalists.

Regional championships are individual competitions for IT specialists in a region wh ere more than half of the participants are residents of a particular subject of the Russian Federation. The total number of participants is at least 100 people in each. The format of holding is online. One task will be presented in one region. The duration of the event is at least 25 days.

Regional Championships schedule:

— Irkutsk: from August 15, 2022 to September 9, 2022,

— Novosibirsk from September 21, 2022 to October 20, 2022,

— Omsk from October 17, 2022 to November 16, 2022.

The District Hackathon in Tomsk is a competition of regions within the district with a single tournament table, more than half of the participants are residents of the Siberian Federal District. The total number of participants is at least 250 people. The format is the hybrid (participants will be able to compete both ways offline and online). The number of tasks is from three to five.

In regional championships and district hackathons, people over the age of 14 are allowed to participate. The main target audience of the project are:

— IT specialists: software developers, engineers, analysts, testers, system administrators, architects, artificial intelligence specialists;

— IT management specialists: project managers, product managers, businessmen, financial and business analysts, marketing specialists;

— Students of specialized and non-specialized higher educational institutions: those who wish to get practical experience of project implementation and join the digital economy;

— Specialists in design: graphic, industrial, product designers, animators, specialists in data visualisation, 3D-modelling.
