INRTU Staff - Winners of the Golf Tournament of the Irkutsk Region Universities
Employees of the Irkutsk Polytechnic University were winners of a golf tournament held as part of the Spartakiade of the Irkutsk Region Universities. The tournament in two categories took place in Golf-club "Alkha" on the 8th of October
Staff and teachers, as well as students took part in the competition. The leading team included Maxim Blem, INRTU hockey coach, Elena Gritsay, senior lecturer of Physical Education Department, and Sergey Zakarchevsky, head of Za Rock club.
According to Sergey Zakarchevsky, an employee of the Centre for Cultural and Educational Work of INRTU, this was the first time he picked up a golf club:
"I was suggested to become a participant of the sports project by coaches of the Sports Club, whom I met at the summer project "Sport and Creativity" in the camp "Polytechnic.
I am pleased with the result - we achieved success through coordinated work and a clear strategy."
Sergiy Zakarchevskiy also added that he was able to prove himself excellently in the competitions thanks to his sports background - the polytechnician is an active tennis player.
Anna Muradyan, a fourth-year student of the Institute of Economics, Management and Law, shared her impressions:
"I became interested in hockey more than seven years ago, I am also good at football. This was the first time I decided to test my golf skills. Yana and I managed to give a decent performance against strong competitors - professional golfers. We got a lot of positive emotions."
