INRTU Students Alisa Filippova and Tatiana Alekseeva are the Leaders of the Regional My Career Contest
The results of the third regional personnel competition "My Career" were announced in Irkutsk. Alisa Filippova, a 1st year student of INRTU's Baikal School of BRICS, and Tatiana Alekseeva, a master's student of School of Economics, Management and Law, are among the winners. INRTU students will be offered internships and employment in the competition's partner organizations.
The competition is organized by Irkutsk Region Ministry of Youth Policy on the initiative of Governor Igor Kobzev. The event is held within the framework of the Youth of Russia federal project as part of the Education National Project supported by Rosmolodezh. The tournament is designed to help promising, talented students and specialists in choosing a professional path.
This year about 1.5 thousand people aged 18-35 from 23 municipalities applied for the My Career contest. They demonstrated their skills in six areas: public administration, education and science, business and manufacturing, medicine, public safety, creativity and creative industries. 600 contestants made it to the semi-finals and 189 to the finals.A total of 102 participants were nominated as winners of the "My Career" contest. Thanks to the tournament, they will be able to choose vacancies from more than four thousand offers.
Alisa Filippova, a first-year linguistics student from Baikal School of BRICS, won in the "Creativity and Creative Industries" category. The student presented a project to familiarise Irkutsk Region's youth with outstanding fellow countrymen and memorable events.
"The younger generation has little interest in Irkutsk Region's history, biographies of people who glorified the region. The lack of historical and cultural knowledge among young people is caused by the fact that information is presented in unattractive formats. That is why I propose to use multimedia comic projections - graphic, text and sound accompaniment", - said Alisa Filippova.
Tatyana Alekseeva, a second-year master student of School of Economics, Management and Law, is the leader in the Business and Production nomination. According to Tatiana, participation in the competition would help her to develop in legal practice.
"The key event of "My Career" was the case solution. I was developing a point system to assess staff achievements, which was a good experience. Previously, I had to implement a system of key performance indicators (KPI) for remuneration in the organisation. In modern business, this tool allows you to set specific goals and objectives, determine ways of their achievement, and control the results. The main thing is that the KPI system ensures the competitiveness of the company", - said Tatiana Alekseeva.
