INRTU Student Sainbayar Davaarzhargal Irkutsk City Shotokan Karate Championship

Sainbayar Davaarzhargal, a student at INRTU School of Power Engineering, won gold at the Irkutsk City Shotokan Karate Championship. The competition took place on March 15 at the Yubileyny Sports Complex. More than 50 athletes from Irkutsk clubs took part in the tournament.

Sainbayar Davaarzhargal secured first place in the Shotokan-kumite discipline and took third in Shotokan-kata.

The Mongolian student completed the Preparatory Russian language course at INRTU with the support of the energy holding company En+ Group and is now pursuing a degree in Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering at the School of Power Engineering. He has been practicing martial arts for over a year and is already showing strong results.

“I chose karate to develop strength, discipline, and character. This martial art has become an important part of my life. I enjoy the competitive spirit and the opportunity to keep improving.
I spent a month preparing for the Irkutsk championship. I trained regularly, focusing on improving my technique and physical fitness. I would like to thank my coach, Vladimir Munkhanov, as well as Andrian Amsheev, a specialist working with international students at INRTU Center for International Services, who has been my mentor and training partner”.

In 2025, Andrian Amsheev and Sainbayar Davaarzhargal won medals at the “White Moon Cup” In Ulan-Ude, wh ere Davaarzhargal took bronze.
