INRTU received about 60 patents in 2022
INRTU staff patented 55 innovative projects in design, food technology, mechanical engineering, energy, creation of mining machines and operation of cars in 2022. This was reported by the head of the intellectual property management department Anastasia Kozhevnikova.
Since the foundation of the university, 2285 objects of intellectual property have been created. Last year INRTU staff filed 56 applications for legal protection of the results of intellectual activity (RIA). IINRTU received 25 patents for inventions, utility models and industrial designs. In addition, the university received two know-hows and became the holder of 27 certificates of state registration of computer programs and databases.
A separate achievement is getting a certificate that allows expanding the scope of iPolytech trademark. Recall that the trademark appeared in the summer of 2020. In 2022, Rospatent made a decision allowing the application of the word mark in relation to stationery and souvenir products, clothing and jewelry. iPolytech can also be used for legal services (intellectual property advice).
"Each development is unique in its own way. The projects of our employees meet the requirements of Rospatent for novelty and the inventions correspond to the high level of invention," said Anastasia Kozhevnikova.
Andrey Sholokhov, associate professor at the Department of Monumental and Decorative Painting and Design named after V.G. Smagin, received a patent for an industrial design skeleton armchair. He designed home furniture remotely resembling ribs. The distinctive feature of the chair is a special system of coupling plywood elements, sawed out on a machine tool.
At the end of 2022 Rospatent registered the method of producing white fruit-berry wines on the shells of pine nuts. Researchers have proved the effectiveness of the use of walnut shells as a sorbent. The authors of the development are representatives of the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology named after V.V. Tuturina - Professor Sergei Evstafev, associate professor Galina Gusakova, graduate student Natalia Suprun and graduate student Vasily Puldi.
Anatoly Nizhegorodov, professor of the Department of Road Construction Machines and Hydraulic Systems, patented axial piston hydraulic machine. The useful model refers to rotary hydraulic machines designed for use in hydraulic drives.
Stepan Tiguntsev, assistant professor at the Department of Electric Power Plants, Networks and Systems, received a patent for a centrifugal mill for grinding coal. The machine should become an alternative to the hammer mill used by CHPP workers. The scientist suggested equipping his version of the mill with grinding tools based on carborundum, a material comparable in hardness to diamond. This will extend the operating life of the mills from 60 days to two years.
