INRTU Organized Language Creativity Contest among International Students

On May 17, the Department of Advertising and Journalism of INRTU organized the National Language Creativity Contest with international participation. 26 foreign students from Irkutsk, Yakutsk, Tver, as well as representatives of Hengshui and Xi'an (China) showed interest in the event.

The competition was organized by Senior Lecturers Anna Baldynova and Larisa Erbaeva. Yulia Vairakh, Head of the Department, and Veronika Zudaeva, Senior Lecturer at East Siberian Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, assisted colleagues in evaluating the students' works.

“We dedicated the competition to the Year of the Family in Russia, so the students talked about traditions, about the relationship between parents and children. However, participants had the opportunity to make a presentation on any other topic, for example, to talk about their profession.

Future economists, designers and subsoil users demonstrated their enthusiasm. This is an opportunity for students to speak in public and improve their speaking skills,” Larisa Yerbaeva shared.

The author of the best report was Hu Yuqi, a first-year student of the School of Economics, Management and Law, who spoke about his family. The student's presentation was supervised by Larisa Yerbaeva. The second was Cao Xiaojiang with a presentation on family values (supervisor – Anna Baldynova).

The third place was taken by Hu Jiahao, a second-year student studying economics at INRTU. Together with Associate Professor Lidia Babkinova he prepared a report on the position of men and women in society in different time periods and compared the experience of Russia and China.

Winners and prize-winners of the competition will be awarded diplomas. All participants will receive certificates.
