INRTU Maintained Its Position in the World University Rankings (Times Higher Education)
Times Higher Education rating agency has published a new ranking of the best universities in the world. INRTU holds its position at the level of 2023 and ranks 1501.
Any university in the world that meets a number of criteria, including: conducting research in a wide range of scientific disciplines, publications in highly rated journals (at least 1000 scientific papers in the period from 2019 to 2023 and a minimum of 100 per year), teaching undergraduates and graduates, can participate in the rating.
Among the important criteria are also the share of international professors and students, the citation rate of publications by university staff, and the academic reputation of the university.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings include higher education institutions from European countries, North America and Asia. This year new universities from Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Syria, Paraguay, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Bahrain appeared in the rating. The number of universities from India and Turkey has increased.
81 Russian universities are represented in the world rankings, the best of them is Moscow State University (107th place). Another Irkutsk university - Irkutsk State University - holds the same position with INRTU in the 1501+ group.
It should be noted that in 2024 INRTU entered The Three University Missions Ranking and ranked 1501-1750. Also, for the first time INRTU entered the top 100 universities in Russia (89th place in the RAEX-100 rating).
