INRTU invites students to apply for the Russian Government Scholarship. The Scholarship offers a fully-funded opportunity for international students to pursue their Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD studies at leading Russian universities, including INRTU, for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Every year, the Russian Government offers fully-funded scholarships for international students to pursue their academic dreams in Russia. The application period for the 2026/2027 academic year is now open, having started on September 15, 2025 and will run until January 15, 2026. This scholarship provides a unique opportunity for foreign citizens to receive a high-quality education completely free of charge.
The Russian Government Scholarship covers the full tuition costs for the entire duration of your chosen program – Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD studies. International students also receive free preparatory Russian language courses before starting their degree program.
Over 500 Russian universities are participating in this initiative, including leading institutions that are highly popular among international students. INRTU (Irkutsk National Research Technical University) annually admits international students under the Russian Government Scholarship program. Candidates with completed secondary or higher education who have successfully passed competitive selection in their home country are eligible to apply for the grant.
