INRTU International Students May Take Part in the International Festival of Youth in Yekaterinburg
The Ministry of Youth Policy of the Irkutsk Region invites international students of INRTU (Irkutsk National Research Technical University) to participate in the International Festival of Youth, scheduled for September 11-17 in Yekaterinburg under the national project “Youth and Children”. The event is organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs of the Russian Federation (Rosmolodezh) and the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region.
The International Festival of Youth is a platform for open dialogue and bringing peoples together through lectures, discussions, and practical master classes. The program features seven thematic tracks including culture, sport, excursions and others. Participants will discuss current issues in youth policy, international cooperation, science, technology and education. During the excursion program, young people fr om different countries will learn about the historical, natural and cultural heritage of both Russia and the city of Yekaterinburg.
The festival aims to present an objective image of modern Russia and its scientific potential. The main venue in Yekaterinburg will be the campus of the Ural Federal University.
A representative of the Ministry of Youth Policy of the Irkutsk Region, Alexandra Kuznetsova, informed students about the registration procedures not only for participants but also for volunteers:
“Candidates for volunteering must have experience in public activity, know foreign languages and be able to work in a team. Volunteers will assist in 17 functional areas, from logistics and accreditation to delegation support and content creation. Following the main program, volunteers will accompany international delegations on regional expeditions as part of the regional program”.
Applications for the volunteer program can be submitted on the Dobro.ru platform until March 31.
To become a festival participant, applicants must register by April 30 and pass a competitive selection process. One of the stages is a video self-presentation wh ere applicants must talk about themselves, share their interests and hobbies, and describe their professional and personal achievements over the past three years in line with their chosen track. Additionally, there is an opportunity to submit an application to the reserve stage from May 1 to May 31.
