INRTU Hosts the II International Scientific School “Chemistry of the Future”
The II International Scientific School “Chemistry of the Future” is taking place at INRTU on November 11-15. The event is aimed at creating a community of scientists interested in the development of chemical science, supporting young researchers and students. Teams of participants solve cases of En+ Group, Orgkhim Biochemical Holding, Irkutsk Oil Company and Irkutsk Polymer Plant.
More than 50 students from INRTU, Irkutsk State University (ISU), Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology, Angarsk State Technical University, Gubkin University and Shenyang Chemical Technology University showed strong interest in the scientific school. The event was supported by speakers and experts from 17 scientific, educational and industrial organizations.
As Rector of INRTU Mikhail Korniakov emphasizes, the scientific school is a unique platform to discuss current trends in the chemical sciences. The Rector expressed confidence that the event will bring together scientists, students and industrial partners to exchange knowledge and practical experience.
"Young scientists of INRTU proposed to hold a scientific school. The event has become large-scale. We see that industrial companies are also showing interest. The most valuable thing is that our partners offer students and young researchers to solve cases. I am sure that on this platform representatives of companies and scientific organizations will be able to find promising employees,” noted Mikhail Korniakov at the opening ceremony.
A great contribution to the organization of the scientific school was made by Alexander Schmidt, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Rector of ISU. He believes that the fusion of young scientists, students and experts is very productive:
“By discussing the challenges of the chemical industry in this format, we have a chance to find the best trajectory for the future. We can set strategic goals for ourselves based on what is happening in the chemical scientific and industrial community”.
