INRTU Fulfils Children's Wishes and Organizes a Masquerade Ball on New Year's Eve
On New Year's Eve, the University is holding wish-fulfilment campaigns and concert rehearsals. The grand finale will be the Masquerade Ball, which will bring together the best dancing couples on the University's parquet on 28 December.
From 11 to 23 December, the INRTU Student Uni on (A-107) will hold its traditional Christmas Tree of Kindness charity event to collect gifts for children in orphanages. The Christmas tree in the University Hall was decorated with toys and cards with wishes for children in need of attention and care. By selecting any letter, students and staff can buy a gift and make a child's dream come true. The wishes can be quite different - construction kits, ice skates, 3D pens, coloring books. The gifts will be handed over to the children by members of the Patriotic Club "BM-21" and volunteers of the INRTU Volunteers Movement.
You can take part in the INRTU Makes Wishes Come True campaign from 11-15 December. Staff and students should leave notes with their full name and contact details in the gift box in the lobby near the photo zone. The main condition is that the wishes must be real and feasible. Rector Mikhail Kornyakov will sel ect three wishes at random and fulfil them. The lucky winners will receive their gifts at the New Year's Fair, which opens in the hall on 20-21 December.
At the fair, the creative teams - participants of the Mittens Festival - will create a magical atmosphere for all INRTU members. The series of New Year's Eve events will continue on 20 December at 18:30 with the Snow Lace ballroom dancing competition. The Students' New Year's Eve Party will take place on 21 December from 16:00-20:00.
On 26 December, the children of staff and students will be entertained with a fairy tale performance. The INRTU matinee will be held in the Assembly Hall at 12:00. At 18:30, the Steps Modern Choreography School invites everyone to a spectacular New Year's Eve program.
On 28 December at 12:00, the University's members are invited to a masquerade ball dedicated to the 225th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin's birth. Fancy dress, carnival masks and New Year costumes are welcome. For those who would like to dance at the New Year's ball, rehearsals are being organized by the Centre for Cultural and Educational Work and the Academic ballroom dance ensemble under the direction of Maxim Skomorovsky. Lovers of poetry and prose are invited to the thematic evening "Under the Christmas Tree!" hosted by the PO-SLO-GAM literary club on 29 December at 6.30 pm in the Assembly Hall. Guests will read literary fragments and give their feedback.
